You spent the entire day either cooking or eating Thanksgiving lunch. You’re overstuffed, over-tired and not in the mood to step back into the kitchen for at least a week. This Thanksgiving, let the Alamo Drafthouse cook dinner for you at a special screening of one of the best holiday movies ever made — PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES.
In the 1987 John Hughes-directed film, Steve Martin and John Candy star as a pair of mismatched traveling companions — forced into each other’s life through a desperate attempt to get back home in time for the holidays. Candy stars as Del Griffith, a shower curtain ring salesman and seemingly perpetual loser. Steve Martin is Neal Page, the uptight businessman forced to travel with Del so he can get home to his family in time for Thanksgiving.
Come to the Alamo Drafthouse – West Oaks for a Thanksgiving night screening of PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES and chow down on some of our signature menu items — including our famous Turkey Burger. We’ve just revamped our menu so this is the perfect time to come try some of our new dishes out — including a Stuffed Portabella Mushroom or Presto Primavera.
Don’t shuffle around the kitchen Thanksgiving night, come to the Drafthouse and let us take care of you with a great movie and great food. Oh, plus alcohol. After a few days with the extended family chances are good you might need a beer or two to recover.
