Picking up wins in every single category for which it was nominated, Slumdog Millionaire is the undisputed champ of this year's Golden Globe awards. The Globes are one of the strong indicators in the Academy Award race, and I for one am hoping that they take it to the stage again come Sunday, February 22 at the Oscars ceremony. Slumdog Milllionaire has been selling out for weeks at the Alamo South Lamar. If you haven't seen it, we highly recommend the experience. Before the film, you'll be entertained by a barrage of wild vintage Bollywood song and dance numbers.
Speaking of the Oscars, we've opened up tickets for our annual Red Carpet Bash at all three theaters (tickets here for the Village, Lamar and Ritz shows on Feb 22). Executive chef John Bullington also prepares a 5 course Red Carpet feast with one dish inspired by each of the nominated best picture films. At all locations, instead of commercials, you'll see embarrassing non-award-winning past performances of the nominated stars, play Red Carpet Bingo, and toast the best picture film with a glass of champagne.
