Report From Fantastic Fest Day Eight!

It's over and we're devastated. Fill the vacuum in your soul with photos and videos from the last day of the fest!

Report From Fantastic Fest Day Eight!

I know - this sucks. Fantastic Fest 2012 is over and while our immune systems will probably appreciate some sleep, water, vegetables and more sleep, our hearts rebel at the idea of waiting another entire year for the gorgeous, glorious chaos of Fantastic Fest. But we'll have plenty more goodies on the blog, Facebook and Twitter over the next few weeks, so if you're like us and cannot surrender the past, dwell on all the fun we had together with lots more pics, videos and stories from the festival!

First! Some videos from earlier in the week. (All videos from Arts + Labor)

From the filmmakers' automatic weapons adventure (read more about that here):

From the Fantastic Feud (read more about that here):

The closing night film of Fantastic Fest 2012 was the world premiere of RED DAWN. Stars Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki, director Dan Bradley and producer Tripp Vinson walked the red carpet last night and gave a Q&A along with Kim Tim Jong-Il. (photos by Jack Plunkett)

And we hosted the Wolverines! Fantastic Fest 2012 Closing Night Party at the American Legion Hall, which we transformed into a North Korean prison with the most delicious prison food anyone has ever eaten, courtesy of head chef John Bullington. FUTURE FOLK and FOOT PATROL performed, there was a Wolverines Photo Booth by Annie Ray, we had torture-oke where participants were willingly shocked as they wailed their tunes, and we offered free head-shaving and tattoos! Even Fantastic Fest creative director Tim League and director Kristen Bell got one. (above) (photos by Jack Plunkett)

Remember - we're not going anywhere, so you guys stick around! And drop by the Fantastic Fest Facebook to tag yourselves in the many, many albums we'll be getting up in the next week or so. Read about Days 1&2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6 and Day 7, and drop us a line sometime. We miss you!
