Lake Creek to Tap Dogfish Head Bitches Brew this Friday at 6pm!

Come out and enjoy a goblet of this limited release from Master Brewer Sam Calagione inspired by Miles Davis' 1970 album Bitches Brew. The excitement has been mounting about this Russian Imperial Stout since Sam first announced the project at last year's off-centered film festival at the Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek, and we're thrilled that the time to tap it is almost upon us.

Brewed in honor of the 40th anniversery of the original release of Miles Davis'  landmark album, this amazing ale is a bold, dark beer brewed with honey and gesho root, an Ethiopian plant used like hops to brew mead or tella, a traditional Ethiopian beer.

This ale is designed, according to  Sam, “as the ultimate partner for chili or spicy curry chicken,” and best enjoyed “sipped cool, not cold, from a snifter or red wine glass while listening to the Bitches Brew album.”

So, that is precisely what we plan to do. This Friday at 6 pm, we will be listening to Bitches Brew in the lobby at Lake Creek while enjoying a glass of Bitches Brew to get the full experience! Bowls of Spicy Chili will also be available as a partner to the Ale, so dont forget your appetite!
