It comes in pints? I’m getting one!

Actually, this is one time it doesn't come in pints.

I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong. I said that Real Ale's Lost Gold IPA was my favourite beer of 2009 and when I said that, it was. But the folks down at (512) Brewing have taken some of their delicious Pecan Porter, upped the alcohol content to around 8.8% and kept it in a Jack Daniels barrel for two months. It's one of the finest beers I've ever tasted (*DISCLAIMER* stouts, porters and IPAs are my favourite beer styles) and we'll have it on tap at South Lamar starting January 1st. It's not cheap though, but you get what you pay for, right? We'll be serving it in a 12oz tulip glass (so you can savour every molecule of that aroma) for the same price as a full pint of the regular Pecan Porter. It's worth every penny or my name isn't Algernon Winston Spencer Castlereagh Razzmatazz.

Ummm, it isn't... but the beer's still fantastic. (Jim Hughes, head bartender, Alamo South Lamar)
