Independent Filmmaker Screenings

We are pleased to support independent filmmakers with discounted pricing during off peak times. Whether it is a benefit to raise funds for the film, a cast and crew screening, or a world premiere, the Alamo’s state-of-the-art projection and world class service will bring your film to life.

Festivals

The Alamo Drafthouse has extensive experience with festivals of all sizes and has played host to SXSW  and our very own Fantastic Fest since the beginning.  We know firsthand how to run festivals from beginning to end, so organizers can rest easy that every detail will be covered. Available services include:​

Community Film Events

We love to open our theaters for nonprofit groups, student film screenings and cause-related films.  To help stretch your budget, we offer significantly discounted pricing during off-peak times (subject to availability).

Press and Promotional Screenings

From exclusive press screenings in our micro theaters to large-scale promotional movie events, the Alamo Drafthouse is the perfect place to launch new films.

Off Site Film Events

Our Rolling Roadshow crew can take a screening to almost any location.  35mm and digital presentation are available, with a variety of screen sizes available.  Please note that Rolling Roadshows are not available in all areas.

Technical Specifications

All Alamo Drafthouse locations feature Sony 4K digital projection, 2D and 3D capabilities, and DCP and Blu Ray.  Select locations have 35mm projection and the capability to link multiple theaters for simultaneous presentation. 16 mm and 70 mm projection are available at our Ritz location in Austin, TX (sorry, 3D is not available at the Ritz).
