About our Downtown Brooklyn venue
The Alamo Drafthouse box office opens 45 minutes before all scheduled show times, with seating beginning 30 minutes before showtime. Guests are welcome to enjoy drinks and appetizers before the film either in their seat or at the House of Wax bar. Our custom-made pre-show, a curated program of shorts, cartoons and other video content, will play before the film. Advance tickets are available online for all shows.
Alamo Drafthouse Downtown Brooklyn features seven screens for new release movies, family and independent films, as well as the Alamo’s unique signature repertory programming. Auditoriums are equipped with the highest quality Sony 4k digital projection, with two screens equipped with RealD 3D presentations. One auditorium is also equipped with a reel-to-reel 35mm projector system. Each 35mm print is treated with the utmost care and respect from our professional projectionists.
In addition to the superior AV equipment, the layout of each auditorium has eliminated the traditional front row, ensuring there is no bad seat in the house. Even better, our front row seats are recliners! Reserved seating is available in all auditoriums so you can avoid lines at the theater and always choose your favorite seat.
Alamo Drafthouse provides Closed Captioning services for the majority its regular movie screenings. However, some special events utilize film formats - like 35mm - that often do not allow for caption services. For more information on the Closed Caption capabilities at a specific film screening, please contact the box office.
