We have only been open a little while and the biggest question we keep hearing is: “Where should I park?” Well Kansas City, we have been hard on the job trying to find you the best solution for all your parking needs. For most, your best bet is the Power & Light Parking Garage located on 13th between Walnut and Grand. This is the closest parking garage in The Power and Light Area that we do validate; our $2 validation is good three hours and should provide you with enough time to catch a movie and grab a drink in the Chesterfield! Just ask our box office staff to validate your garage ticket and we will hook you up! If you want to spend all day at Alamo Drafthouse (and we hope you do!), the Power & Light Parking Garage located on 13th between Walnut and Grand offers $2 PARKING EVERY DAY and at ANY TIME with validation. Just look for the $2 Parking Neon, or follow this map to the P1 parking garage marked in blue.
Another parking option is the H&R Block Parking Garage located at 13th and Main Street. The garage will be FREE OF CHARGE after 6pm Monday through Friday, after 12pm on Saturday, and all day Sunday! The garage will be also open at those times during Sprint Center Events and offer the same three hour parking option.
If you don’t mind a bit of a walk, then you can find plenty of free street-parking starting after 6pm all around our beautiful theater, our favorite being the parking spots on 14th and Baltimore, but those can fill up quickly on the weekend and during events. When event parking is in effect there will be an attendant outside the Parking Garage. On these nights, you need to give them the name and showtime of the movie you're about to see and parking will be FREE. If you do pay the event parking fee and come to the theater to validate, we will not be able to do so. Parking will only be FREE when you tell the attendant that you are going to the Alamo to see a particular movie at the time you park.
