About

Celebrated filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson returns to the screen this month with a new expertly-lensed piece of cinema. PHANTOM THREAD sees the auteur reunited at long-last with Daniel Day-Lewis, acting powerhouse and star of 2007’s THERE WILL BE BLOOD, for a tale of love, obsession and art set amidst the elegant fashion world of post-WWII London.

In honor of this supremely handsome drama unspooling across screens, the Alamo Drafthouse programming team have curated a deeply eclectic series celebrating cinematic depictions of catwalks, couture, and fashion-centric characters.

Feast your eyes on the season’s collection of stories of Greenwich Village Cinderellas, feared and revered style icons, male models who can’t turn left, and even avenging disco godfathers. To borrow a phrase from eternal style icon David Bowie’s “Fashion,” they are the goon squad and they’re coming to your town. Beep, beep.
