On the last Saturday of every month, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, the Austin Chronicle, Ain't It Cool News and Big Brothers Big Sisters put on free screenings for children and Toy Joy provides super fun prizes!
And during the Summer, while school is out, both the Alamo South Lamar and the Alamo Village have FREE Summer Kids' Camp screenings every Monday through Thursday!
Now this isn't your run-of-the-mill multiplex summer film series, with rerun showings of Scooby Doo and Little Mermaid. These are classic, timeless children's films, from 50's sci-fi, to Harryhausen classics, swashbucklers to pirates, from King Kong to Swiss Family Robinson, it's fun for the whole family!
Every year, Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News puts on a birthday party event which completely funds a year of free movie programming that is Kids Club, and we make sure that we only bring the best of the best to tiny and grown-up eyes alike!
