At the Alamo Drafthouse, we aim to show the best movies of the past and present. Like all movie fans, we have strong opinions about the movies we love. Now we’re highlighting new movies that we love from contemporary independent cinema with our new initiative: Drafthouse Recommends.
Several times a year we will spotlight an independent first-run movie by placing our stamp of approval on it in order to indicate that we strongly believe in the title. We want everyone who attends the Drafthouse to have a chance to see it.
We aim to highlight groundbreaking, innovative, and provokative films that push the boundaries of genre, represent enigmatic subjects or highlight emerging new talent. We believe these titles deserve to be seen by as many people as possible.
