Whether or not Tommy Wiseau intentionally shot his film as a “black comedy” (or, gasp, his AD did), or if he is simply a completely inept filmmaker (and actor) is utterly irrelevant. THE ROOM will stand the test of time as one of the most mind-bendingly awesome offerings to ever drop from the celluloid heavens. Completely financed and distributed by Mr. Wiseau, the film premiered at the Laemmle Theatre in Los Angeles in June of 2003. Within minutes of the start of the film, audience members were literally rolling around and crying with laughter.
We'll be supplying the traditional spoons to everyone at these screenings. You'll know what to do with them.
As a special bonus at these Late Show screenings we will be showing the short film THE HOUSE THAT DRIPS BLOOD ON ALEX starring the one and only Tommy Wiseau. Don't miss your shot to catch this on the big screen!
