THE HUNGER GAMES

You may have heard THE HUNGER GAMES touted as the “next big thing since TWILIGHT.” While it certainly will be big, it thankfully does not feature sparkly vampires. In fact, the heroine of THE HUNGER GAMES, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence, WINTER’S BONE), could totally kick the crap out of Bella Swan. Having grown up in the poorest district of a dystopian nation, Katniss is one tough chick, but when she is forced to participate in the annual Hunger Games, she faces a challenge she may not survive. See, the Hunger Games is a government sponsored, publicly televised event in which two teenagers from each district in the country fight to the death in a vast arena of wilderness. This ain’t your mama’s reality TV, and the odds are definitely not in Katniss’ favor.

Based on the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins, THE HUNGER GAMES features pee-your-pants action (kids killing kids!), colorful characters played by a cast of pros, including Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks, and a sizzling love triangle between Katniss, her hometown crush (Liam Hemsworth) and the boy she must kill to survive (Josh Hutcherson).
