True fact: The plot of the upcoming LONE RANGER film was, at one point, going to involve werewolves. Possibly werewolves who controlled the train industry. Budget restrictions forced director Gore Verbinski to dial back his vision for his big screen adaptation of the character and remove any traces of werewolves from the film. Boo! I can’t be alone in the desire to see werewolves wearing railroad caps stick their heads out of a moving train and go “choo choo ARROOO!”
Well, we’re fighting back against this anti-werewolf oppression with a rare 35mm screening of SILVER BULLET this June at the Alamo Drafthouse – Vintage Park. Join us for a wonderfully weird gem from the ‘80s written by Stephen King and starring Corey Haim in a wheelchair (not just any wheelchair – the Silver Bullet is a tricked out, rocket launching werewolf killer!) and Gary Busey. Any film in which Gary Busey is not the craziest thing on screen is a movie worth watching and SILVER BULLET will have you howling at the moon with joy.
Celebrate the dog days of summer with Graveyard Shift and SILVER BULLET in 35mm. Choo Choo ARROOO!
