“Boy. What a week. I met you on Monday, fell in love with you on Tuesday, Wednesday I was unfaithful, Thursday we killed a guy together. How about that for a crazy week, Sue Ann?”

Fresh from serving time in a mental institution, Dennis takes a factory job in a small New England town, eying the place for some excitement. He manages to charm teenager Sue Ann, baiting her with lies about his life as an undercover agent. After she enthusiastically joins him on some missions he has fabricated, which eventually lead to murder, it becomes clear that the game is hers to play. Proving that Anthony Perkins has other ways of being twisted beyond his Norman Bates, and that Tuesday Weld has darker roots than her hair implies, PRETTY POISON is an essential entry in the couples-that-kill subgenre. (Cristina Cacioppo)

Screening in 35mm. Part of the series Mixed Nuts.
