In case you missed it, this movie is called PHANTOM OF THE MALL: ERIC'S REVENGE. That alone convinces you that it will be the greatest thing on the planet. Because the title establishes two things: 1. The movie will take place in a mall, and 2. Eric will get his revenge in that mall. Sure, it might be nice to focus on the minutia of this direct-to-video slasher that has inexplicably turned up on 35mm to provide us with intense happiness. Like the fact that Eric lifts weights in his hi-tech underground Bat-Cave beneath the mall. Or the fact that a snake bites a man on his penis while he's sitting on a toilet. Or even the fact that a bloody eyeball shows up in someone's frozen yogurt. What I'm trying to say is that Morgan Fairchild, Pauly Shore, and Ken Foree made the best decisions of their lives when they decided to star in a movie called PHANTOM OF THE MALL: ERIC'S REVENGE. FYI, this was filmed entirely at the Sherman Oaks Galleria in the San Fernando Valley because you've gotta keep shit real. (Joseph A. Ziemba)
