The Off-Centered Film Fest Dogfish Head Beer Feasts are the stuff of legends. This is our 5th annual year of the marriage of the minds and talents of Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and we’ve gone and raised the bar on food, drink and film pairings!  Expert pairings of gourmet food and deep cuts from the insanely complex Dogfish Head portfolio.  Yes, the brewery busts out special aged and hard to come by kegs from their cellars and share them with us once a year. As a result,  this special event always sells out- so act fast! If you like quality craft beer, fancy-pants Italian food and/or Henry Fonda … this feast is for you.

We’re coupling the 1968 epic Sergio Leone spaghetti western masterpiece with an Italian meal hopped up on gusto steroids! No need for red or white wines to accompany each epicurean course here, we’ve got 8 gorgeous beers from Dogfish, each with characteristics and nuances that mesh perfectly with the ingredients of the courses that Alamo Executive Chef John Bullington has prepared.  If you’ve never seen Charles Bronson play harmonica on the big screen while eating fresh made semolina-artichoke gnocchi in truffle cream, then you haven’t lived.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST is one of the finest westerns ever (made in America or Italy) and rests high in plenty of respectable Top Movies of All Time lists. I would rank it up there with the top Ennio Morricone soundtracks of all time as well.  This is the pinnacle of the western genre, the pinnacle of the gastronomic capabilities of the Alamo and the pinnacle of boldness that beer can be pushed to.   At the end of 6 courses, 8 beers and more shootouts than you can shake a breadstick at- you’ll likely pick up and move to Italy to become a cowboy.

Come get a fistful of this feast and rest assured that you won’t regret it. We have a few special guests who will be eating and drinking with us as well : Sam Calagione from Dogfish Head will be hosting the event along with the people behind the recent feature film WANDERLUST David Wain, Ken Marino and Joe Lo Truglio!

The old west has NEVER tasted so good and certainly didn’t have sarsaparillas continuously hopped for 120 minutes.
