Join us for the closing event of 2013’s Off-Centered Film Fest as we celebrate the greatness of Eminem, Kim Basinger, Mekhi Phifer and Brittany Murphy in 2002's gloriously grimy 8 MILE!

This is the hip-hop's PURPLE RAIN and one of the top semi-autobiographical movies of all time about a forlorn white wannabe rapper.

Directed by Curtis Hanson (LA CONFIDENTIAL) this movie packs a rabbit punch of music, class struggle and the age old struggle to keep down mom’s spaghetti in front of an audience.

To accompany this screening we’re holding a preshow rap battle competition with participants from the crowd and Dogfish Head founder and head brewer Sam Calagione will even dust off some old PAIN RELIEVAZ tracks. Yes, mild mannered brewery owner by day is also Funkmaster I.B.U., half of the world's first (and probably only) beer-geek hip-hop ensemble! The group has been relatively underground since 2005 but at 8 MILE the flow of the PAIN REALIEVAZ will phoenix!

This screening will also feature some special Randal-izations of some of the best Dogfish Head brews in the catalog.  What is a Randal you ask? It’s an invention straight outta Delaware that is essentially a double-chamber filter that is connected to a beer tap that is filled with taste-enhancing ingredients giving the brew an extra injection of flava.

They’ve had a lot of time to experiment with concoctions at the brewery and for this screening they are sharing some of the best combos known to man.  These special Randal combos will ONLY be found at this screening so make plans to be there to cheer on Eminem’s portrayal of Rabbit and to imbibe on some of the tastiest craft beer in the world.

“So here I go it's my shot. Feet fail me not, this may be the only opportunity that I got”
