ACL REEL RARITIES Flaming Lips and The Shins

This just in: We'll be debuting THREE new tracks by THE SHINS at this show AND raffling off vinyl, a signed FLAMING LIPS poster, and tickets to the next SHINS taping at ACL!!!

This 2004 episode of Austin City Limits is a split bill of can't-go-wrong indie pop, headlined by the artsy rock spectacle of The Flaming Lips (including a little shaky but nonetheless pretty amazing cover of Sabbath's "War Pigs" with Chan Marshall helping out on vocals), followed by a more demure but equally entertaining set by those clever 'n' witty songsters, The Shins.

All proceeds benefit HAAM, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
