Have you ever wondered what kind of a person gets up and plays air guitar on a stage in front of hundreds of people? Have you ever wanted to do that yourself? Your wish is our command. MOVIES THAT ROCK is a new series that starts with a cult/classic rock n' roll movie and ends with you onstage rocking out with 1.21 jigawatts of surround sound and a giant movie screen playing your favorite song during VIDEO AIREOKE.

The critically-acclaimed documentary AIR GUITAR NATION chronicles the birth of the U.S. Air Guitar Championships and the early days of a worldwide fascination. Before U.S. air guitarists invaded mainstream pop culture on "American Idol," "America's Got Talent," and Dr. Pepper commercials, there was the epic struggle between invisible guitar heroes  Björn Türoque and C. Diddy. A battle of naked ambition and raw shamelessness emerges and is ultimately settled on the world stage in spectacular fashion. You couldn't have asked Hollywood to write a better story. (Which, of course, they are, considering the rights to Björn Türoque's book were bought and a script developed.)  Kick back with some drinks and see the film The Hollywood Reporter called "as funny as "This is Spinal Tap" and David Ansen from Newsweek gave an "11."

After the movie is over, VIDEO AIREOKE -- hosted by U.S. Air Guitar Hall of famer Mean Melin -- will commence and the theater will be transformed into a raging rock n' roll video party with live air guitar performances from you and all your friends! Liquid courage is recommended, and pyrotechnics will be in use! VIDEO AIREOKE is not a competition. Air bands are encouraged. We will have a playlist of select songs for you to choose from for your performance or you can email [email protected] to request one. To err is human, to air guitar divine!
