OBSESSED

Celebrate Valentine’s Week as Master Pancake shoots an arrow through the heart of OBSESSED (2009). 

Panned by critics -- a dismal 20% on Rotten Tomatoes -- this glossy thriller has so much eye candy you’ll need to go home and floss your eyeballs when it‘s done.  Beyonce Knowles stars as a suburban housewife (right!).  Idris Elba (The Wire, Prometheus) plays her husband Derek, an executive at a financial firm. Ali Larter (Varsity Blues, Legally Blonde) is the deranged new temp at the office who takes one look at Derek’s portfolio and decides she has to manage his assets. 

But not if Sasha Fierce has anything to say about it: the movie climaxes in a catfight so epic that it won the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight and helped get Razzie nods for both Beyonce and Larter.
