The long-awaited biopic from Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg is finally here. LINCOLN, starring the great Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role, centers on the famous president's fight to abolish slavery while in office as he also faced trials and tribulations in his personal life. These few months would drastically alter the shape of the divided nation.
Along with Day-Lewis in towering performance the film also co-stars Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, John Hawkes and Tommy Lee Jones and was written by Tony Kushner (ANGELS IN AMERICA). With all the talent involved LINCOLN has the makings of a true American classic of the highest order.
