Lights.Camera.Help. Reel Change Film Frenzy

Year 2014

The Lights. Camera. Help. Reel Change Film Frenzy supports the creation of cause-driven films for 10 local nonprofit organizations.

This program matches small, local nonprofits in need of films they normally couldn't afford with filmmakers who want to challenge themselves to create a great film in just one short week.

Nonprofits will meet their filmmaking team at a kick-off event and then the filmmakers and nonprofit will have one week to produce a film that is 10 minutes or less in length and works to support the mission of  the nonprofit.

When the week is over, Lights. Camera. Help. and the Alamo Drafthouse will host a screening event and competition to show off the 10 films created through the Reel Change Film Frenzy process!

This year the event will support Drive a Senior, Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts, Austin History Center Association, Seedling Foundation, VSA Texas, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Truth Be Told, EcoRise Youth Innovations, Mariposa Pathway, Pug Rescue of Austin.

Lights. Camera. Help. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to encouraging other nonprofit and cause driven organizations to use film and video to tell their stories. It is best known for the Lights. Camera. Help. Film Festival, the world's first film festival dedicated entirely to nonprofit and cause-driven films.

Each year nonprofits, grassroots organizations, film makers and enthusiasts from around the world get together at the Alamo Drafthouse to celebrate this unique and important art form.
