THE SECRET OF NIMH

Based on the award-winning children's novel, this is the animated tale of widowed mouse Mrs. Brisby, whose journey to protect her little boy takes her deep into great mysteries (many of which are evil plots perpetrated by those no-good Humans!) From dark catacombs to great victories, Brisby, friendly rat Justin and all the other fantastic characters find themselves in great danger en route to greater discoveries. Years ahead of later thinking kids movies like BABE, the animals in this film are more intelligent and believable than anything seen in family film before, their society more akin to ANIMAL FARM than DISNEYLAND. But don't think we're getting too academic...there's enough action and high adventure here to entertain a trashcan full of chihuahuas!
