"This bond, if passed, will make a huge difference to Austin's homeless and those who teeter on the edge of homelessness." -Tim League, Founder and CEO of Alamo Drafthouse

One of the most important issues in Austin's upcoming election is whether to pass the Affordable Housing Bond (Prop 1). We at the Alamo are 100% in favor of the bond because an affordable Austin is essential to strengthen the people and economy of our growing community. With skyrocketing housing and rental prices, Austin is in danger of pricing out lower wage families. This cannot continue if we intend to build a strong foundation for all of our residents. This is what makes the passing of Prop 1 so vital.

In order to spread the word about this issue and get out the vote this November 5th we're having a fundraiser screening for the Keep Austin Affordable campaign of a 35mm print of Tim Burton's classic BEETLEJUICE.

We'll have members from Keep Austin Affordable to answer any questions you have before and after the show.

Believe it or not it's been 25 years since BEETLEJUICE first hit screens and the film has aged so well over the years. It's still bonkers and original and really, really fun! So come and enjoy a special presentation of it while also supporting a cause that's important to your community.
