JOHN CARTER 2D

Based on the first novel in the epic, wildly popular BARSOOM series by Edgar Rice Burroughs, JOHN CARTER follows Burrough's heroic protagonist , a former Confederate captain, as he is mysteriously transported to Mars. There, he finds himself in the middle of an immense planet-wide battle involving world leaders Tars Tarkas (played by the great Willem Dafoe) and Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). The 11-part series is beloved by all ages, and will be brought to the screen by writer/director Andrew Stanton (the TOY STORY trilogy, A BUG'S LIFE, FINDING NEMO, WALL-E, MONSTERS, INC.)
