We have great news for you! The forecast is for bright days ahead and happiness for everyone because Cinema Cocktails is bringing you It's Always Fair Weather!

Three soldier pals promise a bartender they will always be friends. They stash a wad of money at the bar and agree to meet at the exact same spot to prove they are still buddies in 10-years time. Years later they all meet up, but having fallen out of contact they realize times have changed them and they have little in common. A program director for a live tv show catches wind of their story and insist they be put on her show. What follows is a whirlwind of television satire, ruminations on life, romance and non-stop amazing dance numbers.

Having done Singin' in the Rain and On the Town together, directors Donen and Kelly reteam to bring us some of the most inventive and exciting dance numbers ever witnessed in a musical. You'll see Gene Kelly dance on roller skates, a drunk man dancing with a lamp shade on his head, choreographed tap dancing with garbage pail lids and arguably the coolest dance number of Cyd Charisse's career as she flies and swings with a gang of pugilists in a boxing ring. Often overlooked and strangely underseen, It's Always Fair Weather is a Hollywood musical at it's best. The songs are catchy, the dancing is jaw dropping and if that's not enough we're having the Alamo's own beverage director, Bill Norris, whip us up some fancy cocktails especially for this event. If you don't walk out of the theater lighter than air singing "I like myself" you will be fully entitled to keep the wad of cash that has been hidden in your theater. (Greg MacLennan)
