The Graveyard Shift, Houston's premiere horror film series, presents a very special screening of John Carpenter’s 1982 horror masterpiece, THE THING.

Before you take a one-way trip to the Antarctic with Universal’s upcoming prequel, join a theater full of your fellow film fans for a screening of the movie that proved not all remakes have to suck. We're screening Carpenter's film and using a very special digital print. The movie is going to look fantastic — better than you've ever seen it presented on the big screen. And get this — tickets are only $3!

Carpenter’s classic ode to paranoia stars Kurt Russell as a member of a research team that finds themselves infiltrated by a shapeshifting, murderous alien. Exquisite special effects and a tense, nerve-biting plot make up one of the single best horror films of the ‘80s. We’ll be screening the classic before a special midnight release of the new film (tickets to the midnight release must be bought separately). We’re also cranking up the A/C so bring a jacket or a blanket because things are about to get pretty chilly. As with every Graveyard Shift screening, we'll have games and giveaways to help make the night a true event.
