Girlie Late Night: BRIDESMAIDS

Closing night at the Alamo Lamar promises to be packed with nostalgia and film appreciation... and like any Alamo party, it is also guaranteed to get ridiculous. To go out with a bang, we're screening a film that really knows how to bring the crazy: BRIDESMAIDS.

In the movie that set the standard for women-driven comedy (not to mental bridal showers), Kristin Wiig shines as Annie, a woman tasked with the most daunting challenge known to female kind: serving as the maid of honor. Even as she falls prey to an over-achieving nemesis (Rose Byrne) and a non-commital douchebag (Jon Hamm), Annie is worthy of all of our best friend charms. (Melissa McCarthy, you get some too.)
