Join us for an Austin-inspired evening of food & film.  We are stoked to have Austin's 512 Brewing Company join us for this special presentation of Richard Linklater's DAZED AND CONFUSED, one of the most widely recognized movies to be filmed in the Austin area. DAZED AND CONFUSED takes place on the last day of school in 1976, following a group of high school and junior high kids as they celebrate their freedom from teachers and books. DAZED AND CONFUSED is a cult classic with an epic soundtrack, and it launched the careers of actors such as Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Parker Posey, Joey Lauren Adams and Milla Jovavich, just to name a few.

First Course: O’Bannion Beer Cheese Soup

Inspired by possibly Ben Affleck’s most memorable character, this soup combines Pale Ale, hickory smoked bacon and Aged Vermont sharp white cheddar for a rich velvety consistency. It’s richer and smoother than O’Bannion could ever hope to be. Served with a garlic bread paddle for cheese-related hazing.

Paired with 512 One Belgian Strong Ale

Second Course: Air Raid Empenadas

To honor the iconic hazing from the movie, we created our own delicious crash landing. Buttery dough is stuffed with pecan smoked shrimp and fried to crispy perfection, then dive bombed into a pool of spicy Roasted Poblano Gravy.

Paired with 512 Two Double IPA

Third Course: Mitch’s Midnight Munchies

It’s a picnic at the Moontower, bro! We lay down a baked tart of caramelized leek and goat cheese and then top if off with an individual beef roast that, like Mitch and Pink, has been smoking all day. We smother it all in roasted portabella gravy to get that warm and fuzzy feeling.

Paired with 512 Three Tripel

Fourth Course: Slater’s Magic Brownies

Nothing satiates a late night sweet tooth like chocolate, especially when you party like Slater. To be sure, we topped hot White Chocolate Coconut Brownies with homemade Double Chocolate Chipotle ice cream. Don’t worry man, you can’t OD on chocolate.

Paired with 512 Cascabel Cream Stout

So be there or be square, man. Top priority of the winter.
