KCAI Screening Room and Drafthouse Film School Present: The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover

This Saturday, September 14th, join KCAI Screening Room for Peter Greenaway’s infamous masterpiece The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (1989). This film caused quite the commotion at its release in 1989 at the Cannes Film Festival, but still holds up just as well as it did then. The film takes place in a fancy restaurant that gangster owner, Michael Gambon, his wife (Helen Mirren) and associates frequent every night. The wife grows tired of her sadistic husband and starts seeing another man (Alan Howard) right under her husband’s nose.
