Join us for a brand new 3D restoration of one of the most genuinely fun monster movies ever made. When a team of scientists set off on an excursion up the Amazon to find traces of prehistoric life, they get more than they bargain for - an awesome amphibious gill-man, who stalks them and falls in love with a beautiful female scientist on board. Full of iconic sequences, the most famous of which is the oddly romantic underwater swimming sequence where the gillman follows his lovely prey. If you’ve never seen this in 3D, and few of us under the age of 70 have, you should stop reading this right now and mark that calendar!

This screening of the film is part of Texas Frightmare Week at Alamo in association with Texas Frightmare Weekend - the Southwest's premier horror convention! All week we'll be showing film's featuring some of this year's biggest guests including THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON 60th anniversary reunion, Tobin Bell, the TERMINATOR 30th anniversary reunion, the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT reunion, REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA reunion and a soon-to-be announced mystery screen featuring a showing of a horror classic with a rare appearance by the film's writer/director and cast!
