In what may very well be his most hilarious performance, Peter Sellers plays a hapless Bollywood actor named Hrundi V. Bakshi mistakenly invited to a studio mogul's cocktail party. His clumsiness and cluelessness turns the soiree into a disaster - a hilarious disaster. Sellers is at his best and there is an endless successions of gags that will have you rolling on the floor with laughter. Whether he's trying to feed a bird, find a restroom, or just eat dinner, Bakshi is a walking disruption. By the end of the night, he has lost his job, his dignity and, of course, made it the greatest party in history. With lots and lots of drinking, both on the screen and in the theater, thanks to our custom vintage drink menu. Join us as we pay tribute to the late Blake Edwards with this classic Cinema Cocktails screening.
Here are the delicious cocktails we'll be serving up. Designed by Beverage Director Bill Norris:
Birdy Num Num
This fruity gin connection, with orange, pineapple, grapefruit and a hint of apricot brandy and grenadine will have you flapping your wings at the bars to your cage.
Dark and Stormy
A terrific taste of British colonialism with black seal rum, ginger beer and a slice of lime. Looks just like Peter Seller's "brown face."
The Stork Club Cocktail
No swinging 60s party would have been complete without this mix of gin, orange liqueur, orange juice, lime and bitters. Elegant and refined.
