"Entirely living up to its title, Young & Wild is an exuberant, horny, playful and raunchy explosion of teenage female impulses expressed in bracingly contemporary free-form style." --Todd McCarthy, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

Daniela, like many 17-year-olds, lives in a world of contradictions and is trying to find her place and voice in it. Raised in an evangelical Christian home, her parents' expectations for her clash with Daniela's blossoming sexual desire and interactions with other teens, both in person and online. As author behind the sexually explicit blog "Joven y Alocada" (Young & Wild), Daniela records the gospel of her life; at church she prays her parents don't find out. Daniela's life becomes even more confused when she's kicked out of school for having sex, just before she's set to take her college entrance exams. Her punishment: to work at the church's evangelical TV station, in a culture promoting strict abstinence. Daniela soon finds just the opposite, as she becomes involved with two co-workers, one male and one female. Through her blog, and in conversations with others, Daniela raises questions, never really answering them--ultimately demonstrating that not having those answers is, fundamentally, what life's journey of self-discovery is all about.

Inspired by and based on director Marialy Rivas' own life and the blog she wrote as a teenager, the film is innovative, bold and graphic, embracing the fluid nature of identity and sexual adventure, and respectful of the choices each of us makes based on our personal goals and values. Note: stay to the end, the credit design is some of the best you'll ever see!
