Pert. Wholesome. Way Lethal.
Buffy is a flighty, carefree teenage girl who lives a pretty stereotypical life of cheerleading, dating the captain of the basketball team, and copious amounts of shopping with her vacuous friends. Her empty life seems all fine and dandy until one day when a mysterious creeper named Merrick shows up and informs her she is her generation's destined vampire slayer and the chosen one set to protect the world. After a couple of "NO WAYS!" Buffy accepts her new role as slayer and sets out to rid the world of vampires while juggling her teen queen lifestyle.
You may love Joss Whedon's Buffy television show, but you ain't seen nothing until you've seen his 1992 theatrical version featuring an all-star cast of Luke Perry, Kristy Swanson, Donald Sutherland, Paul Reuben, David Arquette, Hilary Swank, and RUTGER FUCKING HAUER. BUFFY may have been released to mixed reviews and a moderate box office, but anyone who has seen this SUCKER knows it's far better than you could possibly imagine. Balancing carefully between outright comedy and horror in a way only a Whedon script can do, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER has proved to be a lasting ‘90s classic for the ages.
Homework. Cheerleading practice. Killing vampires. No one said high school would be easy. BANGARANG! (Greg MacLennan)
