Farmers and Merchant’s Art Gallery - “They’re young. They’re in love. They kill people.” Reimagining this infamous depression-era criminal duo with notes of sympathy and a touch of New Wave glamour, Arthur Penn’s 1968 film was controversial for its violence yet embraced by a generation of moviegoers who identified with its themes of rebellion. Join us in Pilot Point for a celebration of this landmark motion picture at the bank where the first major heist scene was filmed.
This free screening will commence at 9:10pm in the park adjacent the historic Farmers and Merchant’s Bank Building, now an art gallery. Arrive early to check out a classic car show featuring 30’s era vehicles courtesy of the Dallas Model A Ford Club!
Join us before the screening for a VIP Reception at 7:30pm inside the former bank where the famous first heist scene was filmed. Tickets to the reception are $25. Ticket price includes entry into the Farmers and Merchant's Gallery where we will be serving light refreshments and appetizers, reserved VIP seating at the screening, an official Alamo Drafthouse souvenir camping chair that is yours to keep after the event and entry into a raffle for a chance to win the complete set of 10 Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow posters from Mondo. The outdoor screening of BONNIE AND CLYDE is free but tickets for the VIP Reception can be purchased here.
