MARGOT KIDDER LIVE IN PERSON! CO-PRESENTED BY THE ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE AND THE ONION A.V. CLUB!
Holiday movies are always so sentimental, uplifting, and surprisingly devoid of knife murders. What’s a horror fan to do?
"I’ll stick my tongue up your pretty pink pussy! I’m going to kill you!”
Sickos rejoice! BLACK CHRISTMAS is here!! One of the most influential slashers of all time, BLACK CHRISTMAS does everything right. When sorority sisters Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder, and Andrea Martin find themselves under attack from a vicious, potty-mouthed killer (“It’s me, BILLY!”), it’s up to tough copper John Saxon to even the odds. But what about Keir Dullea, the brooding pianist? Could he have something to do with the murders? One-part Christmas atmosphere, one-part stalk ‘n’ slash magnificence, and all parts awesome, BLACK CHRISTMAS is a timeless, terrifying, and must-watch addition to your demented holiday traditions. Director Bob Clark would go on to make A CHRISTMAS STORY and PORKY’S. But those movies don’t have death-via-Christmas-ornament in them, so who cares?
