Afternoon Tea is always a classy affair, but in March, we’re getting especially highbrow with the Merchant-Ivory adaptation of E.M. Forster’s literary masterpiece, A ROOM WITH A VIEW.
Set at the turn of the twentieth century, this magnificent film focuses on Lucy Honeychurch (Helena Bonham Carter), a young Englishwoman on a tour of Italy under the watchful eye of her chaperone, Charlotte Bartlett (played by our beloved Maggie Smith). When she meets the dashing and free-spirited George Emerson (Julian Sands), Lucy slowly begins to break free from social conventions and learns to exert her own independence.
Also featuring Daniel Day-Lewis and Judi Dench, this Academy Award winner for Best Adapted Screenplay will dazzle you with glorious cinematography, splendid costumes and a coming-of-age story that never fails to resonate. Pair this captivating film with premium organic tea and delectable treats, and you will most certainly enjoy the view. (Sarah Pitre)
All tea is premium organic and provided by Austin's own Zhi Tea.
