AFS Presents: POLA X

Austin Film Society and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema have joined forces to celebrate the mesmerizing work of the elusive,  visionary, and iconoclastic French film director Leos Carax!

Surrounding the release of his first feature film in over a decade's time, HOLY MOTORS (opening Dec. 7th at the Drafthouse - South Lamar), we present a complete feature film retrospective!

All titles in the Leos Carax series will be screened in their original French language, featuring English subtitles, and POLA X in particular will be shown on an absolutely stunning 35mm print!

POLA X:

A privileged young writer sabotages his life of ease when he is approached by a woman claiming to be his long lost sister. The film stars Catherine DeNeuve and Guillaume Depardieu, and is based on a Herman Melville novel.
