Each year, the SafePlace Celebration focuses on a dynamic speaker who touches on empowerment, speaking up against violence of all types and encouraging their supporters to be courageous citizens. The annual two-part event, featuring a film screening here at the Alamo followed by a luncheon the next day at the Austin Convention Center, helps ensure SafePlace has the funding it needs to continue their vital services. Last year, they hosted Olympia Dukakis and screened  STEEL MAGNOLIAS. This year, SafePlace screens Steven Soderbergh's acclaimed film ERIN BROCKOVICH with the dynamic real-life Erin Brockovich in person and live Q&A moderated by Katherine Stolp of KEYE-TV.

Pleae note: Tickets to the screening and the following day's luncheon are priced and sold separately. Space is extremely limited. For complete details about both events, please visit www.Safeplace.org/Celebration
