Weird Al is Coming Back to Austin - Sounds Like Fun, Fun, Fun

Hopefully, you remember last May, when we hosted one of the biggest events in Alamo history with Weird Al Yankovic live at the Paramount Theatre. It was awesome. He was wearing a Hawaiian shirt; We did two giant, 1200 person singalong to EAT IT; And we watched the greatest TV-station film of all time, UHF. We even gave Weird Al a special trophy to show him how much he means to all of us. He is an icon, after all.

The only drag was that Mr. Yankovic couldn't perform his songs. His band wasn't in town, and the man is so loyal he refuses to play without them. Enter Fun Fun Fun Fest.

Fun Fun Fun Fest, the annual outdoor festival alternative to the more tourist-oriented SXSW and ACL, has manned up and figured out how to get Weird Al and his band to Austin. Held November 5 – 7, 2010 at Waterloo Park, the festival will begin with a kick off event on Friday, November 5th at 6:00 with the one and only Weird Al Yankovic headlining, supported by his legendary one of a kind production and show.

This makes a perfect companion to our UHF event, creating a pair of Austin Weird Al events our wildest dreams couldn't have concocted. For us, this truly is the year of Weird Al.
