We were never great at farewells. Alamo Drafthouse - West Oaks will close its doors Monday, June 25

The Alamo Drafthouse – West Oaks opened its doors in May of 2003. In the nearly ten years that we’ve served the community, it has been our extreme pleasure to be a haven for movie lovers for the greater Houston area. From incredible films to unique events, great special guests and a massive amount of amazing beer, it has been a spectacular run. The time has come, though, for us to close the doors at our location in the West Oaks Mall. But, like the fabled Hydra, if you cut off one of our heads, two more shall take its place.

It’s always hard to say goodbye.

The Alamo Drafthouse – West Oaks will close our doors on Monday, June 25. We ask you to visit our Mason Park location throughout the rest of the summer and beyond. A short 10 minute trip down the road, our Mason Park location will feature the same films, events, guests and menu items you’ve grown to love at our West Oaks location.

Looking into the future, 2013 will be a huge year of growth for our presence in the Houston community. Next year we will open our new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema location in the Vintage Park Shopping Village in North Houston. Soon after, we will finally unveil our long-awaited inner-loop location – the Alamo Drafthouse – Midtown.

West Oaks may be closing but the Alamo isn’t going anywhere. We will maintain a strong presence in Houston. 2013 is going to be the year of the Alamo Drafthouse. Are you ready?
