The Alamo Victory Program Launches in Houston!

This is a day we've been anticipating for some time now - it is the launch of the Victory program in Houston! What is the Victory program? Here's Tim League, founder and CEO of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

I wanted to let everyone know about some great new improvements we are implementing in our weekly email newsletter.  First off, we are giving it a name: "Alamo Victory."  Every week, just like always, you will receive updates about upcoming movies.  The new Alamo Victory updates, however, will be more targeted, hopefully featuring more of the content you like and less of the content you don't.

Additionally Alamo Victory will also function as our first ever rewards program. Membership is 100% free.

We’ve been talking about instituting a rewards program for years, but I was resistant to anything like a standard punch card. We’ve been in development for over a year on Alamo Victory and are really proud of the results.  We will be able to surprise you all with meaningful rewards and cool, unique events.

All Alamo Victory members will receive special offers and rewards such as free movie tickets, invitations to sneak previews, exclusive screenings and unique events, T-shirts, and DVDs. Every Alamo Victory member will receive at least two special offers each year in addition to a free movie ticket on their birthday.

We’ve taken our time with the development of Alamo Victory and, likewise, we’re taking our time with its rollout. Instead of introducing it at every Alamo Drafthouse location all at once, we’ve opted instead for a staggered rollout approach.

We are staggering the rollout and starting in a city with just a single Alamo Drafthouse location in order to provide a controlled environment to work out any and all kinks before bringing the program to cities with multiple locations, like our hometown of Austin.

Yours in Victory,

Tim League
