We've been talking non-stop about the Texas-themed Rolling Roadshow we're kicking off next week. We can't help it! It's going to be amazing! Even more amazing is the recently-confirmed additions to the second stop of the tour, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in Kingsland, Tx.
First - the basics: We're screening the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE at the Junction House (aka, the home of Leatherface). The historic, incredibly creepy house has been picked up and moved to Kingsland, and you can see it inside and out! The screening itself is totally free, but you can add some extra oomph to your experience by purchasing one of two VIP packages!
VIP Package #1 ($50): The VIP ticket includes two food tickets good for barbeque provided on site by the Alamo Chefs, a Mondo Texas Chainsaw Massacre t-shirt and a reserved spot in the VIP seating area complete with a Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow camping chair that is yours to keep after the screening.
VIP Package #2 ($100): The VIP Dinner ticket includes dinner at the Junction House before the screening, a raffle ticket for a chance to win the whole set of Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow posters from Mondo, a Mondo Texas Chainsaw Massacre t-shirt and a reserved spot in the VIP seating area for the screening which comes complete with a Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow camping chair that is yours to keep after the screening.
Two pretty sweet deals if you ask us. Don't feel like spending the extra cash? Again, the screening is totally free, so come out anyway BECAUSE... (this is the fun recently-added news!)
We'll have SPECIAL GUESTS IN ATTENDANCE! Actress Marilyn Burns (Sally Hardesty), Actor Edwin Neal (Hitchhiker) and Writer Kim Henkel will be stopping by to introduce the film, tell you all the terrifying filming stories in a Q+A and MORE!
Plus, prior to the film, select members of the audience will compete in a headcheese eating contest and participate in a "scream-off" with star Marilyn Burns!
Start practicing your screams now. Cause she's good.
