Sundance Hit MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE Opens This Friday!

MARTHY MARCY MAY MARLENE is the writing and directing feature debut from newcomer Sean Durkin. He won the Director Award at Sundance this year and is nominated for the Breakthrough Director Award at the upcoming Gotham Awards, which is one of the most prestigious ceremonies  for independent filmmakers. Remember his name and write it down - Durkin is well on his way to being the next big bad Hollywood director.

MMMM opens with a girl (The Olsen Twins other, actually very, very talented sister, Elizabeth) fleeing from something very, very terrible. We soon learn she's escaping her recent life from a a small-community-turned-destructive-cult. As she tries to adapt to her new life with family, paranoia, including memories with the aforementioned cult's leader, Patrick (the highly underrated John Hawkes), just may get the best of her. Schizophrenia has never looked so good.

MMMM opens this Friday at South Lamar and you can get tickets HERE.
