THE INCREDIBLES still remains one of the very best films to come from the masters at Pixar Animation Studios. The film’s visuals are imaginative and eye-popping and the story is clever, entertaining and heartfelt.
The film focuses on Bob Parr and his wife Helen, known to the world as superheroes Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. They were among the world’s greatest crime fighters, saving lives and battling evil on a daily basis. Fifteen years later, they have been forced to adopt civilian identities and retreat to the suburbs to live “normal” lives with their three kids, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. Bob, itching to get back into action, gets a chance to don his old Mr. Incredible suit when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote island for a top secret assignment.
Soon he discovers that it will take a super family effort to rescue the world from total destruction. Blending brilliant, witty satire and deft emotion THE INCREDIBLES is a wonderful film about the strength and importance of family.
Join us for a special, one-time only screening of THE INCREDIBLES on 8/30 at Lamar with the film’s award-winning composer, Michael Giacchino, who will be in attendance for a Q&A session immediately following the film. Believe us when we say this is an event you won’t want to miss.
