Love classical guitar? Love immensely talented string quartets? Love the tremendous libations created by Alamo Drafthouse Beverage Director Bill Norris? Read on, because we have something right up your alley:
Miró Quartet with Jorge Caballero
Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at 7:30pm
Cocktail Party Begins at 6PM, Kodosky Lounge
Dell Hall, The Long Center for the Performing Arts
“Stunning," “Captivating," “Enchanting," “Thrilling." All words we heard, many times, to describe the performance Caballero and the Miró Quartet gave last October at Austin Pictures. And that was just a small taste of what they can do. This time we decided to go for the whole entrée!
Naumberg-winning guitar wizard Caballero returns for a full program with our super-star string quartet in Austin’s world-class concert hall. This night will transport us all to a higher plane – get ready for magic.
Plus, we’re thrilled to have The Alamo Drafthouse’s Beverage Manager, Bill Norris, and his team members from The Highball, 400 Rabbits and Midnight Cowboy, mixing up five specialty cocktails – one for each ensemble member – in the Kodosky Lounge, starting 90 minutes before curtain! Norris, among many other international accolades, was named Austin Chronicle Readers’ Poll “Best Mixologist” for 2009, 2010 and 2011 – so you’ll be able to sit back and sip expertly crafted drinks like “The Jorge,” “The Daniel,” “The Will,” “The Josh” or “The John” during the show!
