Premiering to mixed reviews and a unspectacular box office performance, Alfred Hitchcock's VERTGO has become one of the director's most respected and beloved films. James Stewart stars as John "Scottie" Ferguson, a detective who suffers from acrophobia - an extreme fear of heights. When an old acquaintance asks Scottie to follow his wife and get to the bottom of her mysterious behavior, Scottie falls into a dangerous spiral — becoming increasingly obsessed with the woman, played by Kim Novak.

VERTIGo has constantly ranked highly on film retrospective lists — including coming in as the second greatest film ever made in Sight and Sound's 2002 list, second in Total Film's 100 Greatest Movies of All Time list and 61 in AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Movies list.

This January, we'll be screening the film from a new 2K digital print at our Mason Park location. Don't miss the chance to see the movie on the big screen — the way it was meant to be seen. Local critic Joe Leydon will introduce the film and talk a bit about its historical significance.

January 22 @ 6:30 PM — Mason Park
