Like most of the civilized world, the Alamo Drafthouse is a huge fan of Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost. When the trio reunited to wrap up the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, we here at the Drafthouse decided to throw the biggest, the best, and the most British celebration we could. We created a special menu of pub themed food, and imported British beer to give the Drafthouse a taste of Britain. We programmed Cheers! A Celebration of Pub Life so our guests could experience an Anglophile overdose, concluding with the BLOOD AND ICE CREAM TRILOGY marathon. It's been all Wright, all month, all the time.
But we decided THE WORLD'S END deserved a Food and Film event of its very own. After all, it's a movie about the pub crawl to end all pub crawls, and wouldn't our guests want to indulge themselves in a similar fashion? So we created THE WORLD'S END Beer Dinner on Wednesday, August 28 at 7:15. It's a four course meal (five if you count the welcome beer!) of classic British food, reimagined with a Drafthouse twist. You won't drink 12 beers like our onscreen heroes do, but it does incorporate 12 beers within the courses, so you can follow the Golden Mile in slightly soberer spirit.

If the menu and the film isn't exciting enough, we'll also be giving away two box sets of THE WORLD'S END pint glasses to two lucky guests. It's a really beautiful set that's designed for the beer fan and the movie geek, as each pint glass bears a logo from the film's imaginary pubs. You can drink beer out of them (and why wouldn't you?), or you can just let them sit on your shelf as a fond memory of your Golden Mile.
Tickets for THE WORLD'S END Beer Dinner on Wednesday, August 28 at 7:15 are on sale now. All of our Wright events have sold out quickly, so don't hesitate to get a good seat, and a chance at the pint glasses!
