Playstation at Fantastic Fest 2013!

Wiley's note: We're extremely lucky over the last couple of years to have met folks at Sony Playstation who 'get' not just indie games, but get Fantastic Arcade. We're excited to have them back this year with a collection of amazing games that were co-curated by the Fantastic Arcade selection board.

PlayStation at Fantastic Fest 2013!
Play our games, watch our panel, talk to us!

After the awesome success of sponsoring Fantastic Arcade for the past few years, we at PlayStation couldn’t possibly miss out on being part of this week’s festivities, in an exciting new location no less!
The Austin indie developer scene is incredible, and it’s a great opportunity for our Developer Relations team (which I’m part of) to come check out the games in the Arcade and the Showcase, and talk to the developers about bringing their games to PS Vita, PlayStation 3, and now PlayStation 4 (November 15th!).To that point, we’re hosting a panel on Friday at 4:00pm that we’d love for local developers (and those in town) to attend:
We <3 Devs: Self-publishing Indie Games on PlayStation platforms
It’s exciting times around PlayStation – PS4 launches in less than two months, and PS Vita is really hitting its stride (as you’ll see if you stop by our Fantastic Arcade sponsorship area!). We’ve been putting the spotlight on indie developers all year, and we’ve been making our platforms friendlier than ever to self-publish on – if you’re an indie developer, we’d love to work with you! The SCEA Developer Relations will be on-hand to talk about the process and answer any burning questions you may have.
And as that description implies, we’ll have a boatload of PS Vita titles set up for all Fantastic Fest attendees to play in our sponsorship area, near the Arcade. Check out this rad lineup:

  • Tearaway
  •
Hohokum
  •
Metrico
  •
Doki Doki Universe
  •
Luftrausers
  •
Bit.Trip Presents…Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
  •
Fez

  • Mutant Mudds Deluxe

  • TxK
  •
Lone Survivor
  •
Terraria

  • Flower

  • Olli Olli

  • 1001 Spikes
  •
Hotline Miami
  •
Spelunky

  • PlayStation Mobile

PS Vita has become a pretty ridiculously great place for indie games, and though I’m probably a bit bias I’ll leave you with the below trailer as proof. Thanks everyone, see you this week!
